This is a classic Denver haunt. Open 24 hours! Been here forever. Under new ownership because the founder passed away. (Pete). Been coming here since 1970s. Next-door to the satire lounge, which used to have a famous Mexican Food kitchen (try their blue margarita). So you could get the full Mexican menu here at one time. Now the only thing you can get is the green chili which is a classic and famous recipe. Still, the food is great, Services is great and it’s a classic atmosphere.

This is an old fashioned style diner, with American/Greek food. I had their patty melt which was very good, with fresh onions instead of frozen, and extra crispy French fries. I tried a side of their chili which exceeded my expectations. The service was attentive and fast. The ground beef in the patty melt tasted fresh and was plenty to eat. It was a warm respite from the winter cold with Christmas decorations too. Follow me for reviews in California, Washington, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas Wisconsin and more!

If you want a true old school Denver experience this is the spot! Make sure to buy a bottle of his sauce before you go. Pete is a business man from way back who owns a ton of property and some of them are epic eateries. Pete’s is simple but quality! Breakfast all day with lunch and dinner options as well. Staff is always on point too! I love you gyro meat with anything I get lol. They also just turn part of the property into an outdoor covered patio! Still not open yet but I am excited to try it out! Pete’s has been a favorite since I was a teen and 20 plus years later it still hits just as good! This truly is a mile stone of colfax and the original Denver! See photos!

I have always loves all the Pete's restaurants and this one is the classic and quintessential option. Lovely service and amazing food with large portions. We sat in the additional room which was pretty loud/echoed but still enjoyable. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend.

The whole place is a vibe. I loved sitting at the counter for my breakfast. The burrito supreme was totally worth it.

Pete’s Kitchen is a traditional diner with an open kitchen, bar & booth seating, and an addition that is similar to covered patio seating. I ordered breakfast for dinner on this first visit and it did not disappoint. Ordered the Chef’s Special breakfast which comes with two pancakes, two eggs, ham, bacon, or sausage, and hash browns. I requested both bacon and sausage and my waitress came in with the winning suggestion of sausage links over patties, which were fantastic. I also added some grilled biscuits. The food was simple and absolutely delicious. I love going to diners like Pete’s and posting up with a good book. I will definitely be back!

What a great iconic place with good pricing and good food. Truly one of the last real diners left in Colorado

Oh how I love diners and Pete's Kitchen on Colfax fits the diner archetype to a tee - it's on East Colfax, and it's been here for decades, and it has a great, Mom-and-Pop type of vibe. Menu has breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the prices are reasonable, which is a hard thing to say for a lot of places these days. There are a lot of tables and seating, as well as counter seating that gives you a good luck at the cooks' culinary work. Parking is on the street with parking meters. I saw a sign that said the restaurant 'is open 24 hours on Fridays and Saturdays.' Highly recommended if you're looking for a bit of nostalgia, good food, and a bit of Denver history all thrown in. Recommended!

My favorite place to eat in this city... one of the only classic Denver businesses left in the city - that real diner feeling. Also open 24 hours Friday and Saturday. A great open kitchen with a simple and fantastic menu. I bring all my friends here. I eat here alone. I love it. Check it out. The vibe is a good one.
